Situated between two nature reserves on a 10-acre wooded "Land for Wildlife" block, the site is regularly visited by a spectacular array of native birds, kangaroos throughout the year, and koalas in the season (October – April). The property adjoins Devilbend Natural Features Reserve in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula – 15 mins. From Mornington and Hastings, and 20 mins. from Frankston.
The 2 bedroom mud-brick cottage looks out onto a beautiful cottage garden, with an organic veggie garden and orchard in the rear. Nearby are the Devilbend Golf Course; numerous vineyards and wineries; restaurants, antique centres; bay beaches (15 mins.) and surf beaches (20 mins.)
The cottage has two bedrooms: one with a double bed, and the second with two single beds that can be made up into a king-sized bed. There is a comfortable double futon in the large living room, allowing accommodation for up to six people. A large fridge/freezer, microwave oven and heating elements are provided, together with all utensils, crockery, and access to a fully equipped laundry and BBQ. It has two bathrooms; digital television; video and DVD/CD players; an internet connection; a wood heater and ceiling fans.
