There are walking tracks along the creek to the beach. The Ambassador Apartments (formerly the Ambassador Hotel) is an imposing period-style complex with a grass tennis court, indoor 12 metre swimming pool, sauna and BBQ pavilion on site, and features landscaped garden areas and a central fountain, gazebo and water feature.

The apartment comprises an open-plan lounge/dining/kitchenette, a large separate bedroom with a double bed, loads of storage space or room for 1 or 2 single beds (supplied if required) and French doors that open out to a sunny private courtyard with café table and chairs, and a large separate bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity.
